Food, Fun and Love - this is the best description of times spent at my grandparent's farm. I first learned to enjoy food and cooking from my grandpa. He had a passion for cooking and entertaining. If Grandpa and Grandma had company they were sure to offer them food, no one ever left their home hungry. They understood that gathering around the kitchen table and sharing food put people at ease and made everyone feel welcome.  Now I have a family of my own, and I continue to enjoy cooking and baking, whether it is a simple meal for our little family or a spread of food to be shared with friends and extended family.

I will probably be posting about desserts more than anything else since my favorite thing to do in the kitchen is bake. My dream job would be to own a cupcake shop that specializes in unique packaging and wrapping of the cupcakes (hey, appearance does matter - they have to look pretty).  I will be posting recipes and pictures of the things I am whipping up in my kitchen so check back often.
