I am not sure where the idea to make this originated from. I think it first came from a recipe I saw in a Kraft magazine, but it called for hash browns. This was clearly not the healthiest meal to come out of my kitchen, but it was a very good one. It reminds me of the loaded fries we would get at the pub when we were dating in college.

I first saw a recipe for steak tacos in Every Day Mexican by Rick Bayless. I borrowed his idea and threw in some carmelized onions and blue cheese. Mike agreed to make these since I was in at the office late that night working phone duty. He did a really good job marinating and cooking the steak. He takes dried chili peppers and grinds them against our grater to make the powder. When I walked in the door all I had to do was sit down and eat. Life is great!

Yes, this is a continuation of my obsession with Bell and Evans Chicken products. I first mentioned them in my chicken burger post. They even have a line of gluten free products which I have heard are great tasting. For this sandwich we used their Garlic Parmesan Breaded Chicken Breast, it is all natural and they even use soy bean oil.
I saw this recipe on tastykitchen and I just knew I would have to try it. I love gravy on fries and I know Mike does too. My sister came over for dinner the night we made this recipe. She said she liked it, she only wished the portion I gave her was larger. Next time I make this recipe I would definitely add more flavor/seasonings to the burger, wasn't enough going on there to keep my interest.
Sometimes we are in such a rush I just don't have time to make a traditional meal. I try to have meals like lasagna or chili prepared in the freezer to grab and reheat, but sometimes I even fail at that. So on those occasions we do sometimes have prepackaged store bought meals.
