These bars are very rich and so often mistaken for brownies, but the texture is definitely more of a cookie than a brownie. I used milk chocolate chunks in this batch, but have substituted other things in the past. I think my all time favorite was when I used dark chocolate pieces with raspberry centers, ohhh so amazing!
I have had this recipe for a really long time. I think it was originally from Pampered Chef but I can't find it on their website.
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS
2 1/4 cup Flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks butter softened (1/2 cup each stick)
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs beaten
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 cups chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Stir together flour, salt, and baking soda in bowl
Mix together butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla and cocoa in mixer
Gradually add dry ingredients
Stir in chocolate chips
Spread batter in greased 9x13" pan
Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
